A perfect gift set to experience the magical world of Yakushima tea. This subtropical island in southern Japan is home to a diverse array of flora and fauna as well as a unique climate that produces world-famous Japanese green tea. These organic teas are all quite unique, and now you have the opportunity to try all of them in your very own home!

Kukicha Yakushima 100g

In this Kukicha, you will notice a light hay flavor coming from the stems, but it still has the rich full umami flavor coming from the high-quality leaves. This kukicha is also lower in caffeine, which makes it a nice tea to enjoy in the evening.

Steeping: 60 seconds at 60 degrees Celcius. Can be steeped 3-4 times

Genmaicha Yakushima 150g

People who like nice roasted flavors will really appreciate this tea. There is a nice balance between the green tea and the toasted rice, so neither flavor completely takes over. This is the perfect tea to enjoy on a brisk morning, and may remind you of a nice warm bowl of hot cereal.

Steeping: 70 degrees Celsius, 1.5 minutes. Can be steeped 3-4 times

Yakushima Sencha 100g

Straight away, you will notice the sweetness of this tea, followed by a nice summer freshness. The taste then evolves to give way to a beautiful hazelnut finish. The second steeping is actually sweeter than the first steeping in this tea, although it does lose some of its savory umami flavor. This tea retains a lot of flavor in the second brewing, and it also does very well as a cold brew.

Steeping: 122 degrees F/ 50 degrees C for 1 minute. Can be steeped 3-4 times

2 Yakushima Shincha 160g

In the first brewing, this tea has a sweet corn and hay flavor that tastes a bit like fresh rye. Next, you may begin to notice a natural umami sweetness coming from the tea. Eventually, it turns into a flowery note with a grassy taste. There are some tannins in this tea that dance on the top of the tongue, creating a tingling sensation.

Steeping: 122 degrees F/ 50 degrees C for 1 minute. Can be steeped 3-4 times
