This tea comes to us from the region of Shizuoka, the largest tea growing region in Japan. The tea has a very smooth and balanced flavor with delicious notes of fresh summer grass and straw. This is an excellent afternoon tea due to its low content of caffeine and high content of minerals.
We visited the farms of Osadaen in April 2019 and headed up into the mountains to see what they referred to as "The Organic Village". This is a large plot of land that is owned by several different farmers, all of which is organic. Not only is the field where this tea is grown organic, but all of the surrounding area is organic as well.
Steeping: 60 seconds at 60 degrees Celcius. Can be steeped 3-4 times
