This tea comes to us from Shizuoka prefecture and it is actually produced by a collective of farmers. You can see the farmers picture on the tea and many of these tea packs have different farmers on them.
It is a high-grade shaded Sencha with a nice sweet taste to it. There are large rolled leaves in the tea that have a shiny finish to them, a sign of a high-quality Sencha with lots of theanine. There is a little bit of a wooden taste to this tea, but it is very subtle. The tea starts off with a mellow sweetness, followed by a beautiful note of young fresh wood and finishes off with a nice tingling feeling at the top of the tongue, due to its subtle astringency.
